Σε υψηλό επίπεδο παγκόσμιας κατάταξης βρίσκονται το Τμήμα Ναυτιλίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου και η Ακαδημία Πλοιάρχων Εμπορικού Ναυτικού Οινουσσών σύμφωνα με την ανακοίνωση του δημοφιλούς βρετανικού ναυτιλιακού ειδησεογραφικού ιστότοπου www.allaboutshipping.co.uk., αφού όπως γνωστοποιεί ο Δήμαρχος Οινουσσών, Γιώργος Δανιήλ .
Το έγκριτο ναυτιλιακό ηλεκτρονικό έντυπο δημοσιοποίησε την top-30 λίστα των καλύτερων ναυτιλιακών και οικονομικών Πανεπιστημίων, με επίκεντρο τη ναυτιλία και το εμπόριο. Στην πρώτη πεντάδα προϊστανται ΜΙΤ και UCL, αλλά και το Τμήμα Ναυτιλίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου, ενώ στην top 30 διεθνή λίστα βρίσκεται και η ΑΕΝ Οινουσσών.
"Αναμφίβολα η συγκεκριμένη κατάταξη αποτελεί μεγάλη τιμή, καθολική αναγνώριση κι υψηλή διάκριση για την ιστορική Σχολή των Οινουσσών. Όπως τονίζεται στο δημοσίευμα η διαρκής κι εξειδικευμένη εκπαίδευση αποτελεί τον παράγοντα ανάπτυξης κι εξέλιξης της ναυτιλίας, αναφέρει το σχετικό άρθρο.
"Education, education, education" η συνεχής εκπαίδευση είναι εκείνο, που χρειάζεται, για την αντιμετώπιση των απαιτητικών ζητημάτων, που ανακύπτουν στην ναυτιλιακή βιομηχανία.
Η Ακαδημία μας έχει όλες τις προοπτικές και το έμψυχο δυναμικό για να ανταγωνιστεί ιστορικά και διακεκριμένα εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα. Απαιτείται αναβάθμιση τόσο του υλικοτεχνικού εξοπλισμού και των κτιριακών υποδομών, όσο και θεσμικός εκσυγχρονισμός των προγραμμάτων της εκπαίδευσης και στελέχωση με μόνιμο προσωπικό από την πλευρά της Πολιτείας. Συγχαρητήρια στη Διοίκηση, το ένστολο και πολιτικό προσωπικό, αλλά και τους Σπουδαστές και Σπουδάστριες για τη σημαντική αυτή διάκριση, που δημιουργεί νέες προσδοκίες και κατάκτηση υψηλότερων κορυφών", αναφέρει σε ανάρτησή του ο Γιώργος Δανιήλ.
